Q. I just started the program and I find that I am woken up multiple times throughout the night when I have the Sleep Program playing
A. It is actually very natural and normal for us to wake in the night as long as you don’t have trouble getting back to sleep, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. It can sometimes take a few days to get used to the Sleep Program. Please make sure you have it turned right down to a maximum of 2 or 3 ‘volume bars’
If you still find that you’re waking up too often after a few days you can try turning the audio off after a few hours – I sometimes switch mine off at around 3 or 4 am and then turn on a Power Break or Subliminal Messages Audio to snooze/wake up with in the morning.
Q. have just started Week 2 (or 3) and I see that the Virtual Gastric Band night Audios are just over an hour long. What about the rest of the time I spend sleeping?
A. It is only necessary to listen to the Virtual Gastric Band Preparation and Installation Audios once per night But if you play the Audios on repeat throughout the night it will accelerate your results!
Q. I have been listening to the Sleep Audio with headphones at night because I sleep with my partner but the ear buds keep falling out of my ears. Is it better to play the Sleep Audio with or without headphones?
A. I generally advise against sleeping with earbuds/headphones unless you really prefer doing so. Also, I’m positive that your partner will benefit from these Sleep Audios as well. So try playing the audios very low (2 or 3 volume bars maximum) on your phone/speakers through the night. It may still take a few nights for you both to get used to the Sleep Programs but once you do it will actually become a sleep aid!
Q. I find that my emotions are my downfall. If I keep up with the Brain Trainings I usually do well and keep on track with my goals but I find that as soon as I fall off a little bit with the Trainings my emotions can easily take over and derail my progress. Is this normal?
A. It takes time to form habits and train your brain & body to start living a different lifestyle. It’s a common myth that it takes about 21 days to form a new habit. I find that it can take minimum of 90 days to form a new habit that sticks.
It’s also important to recognize that we ALL have emotions – it’s part of the human experience and we cannot change that. We just need to be in charge of them instead of them being in charge of us!
Please use the tools like the Power Move (aka The Switch) and the Pep Talk as needed to help you along the way!
Q. At what audio level will the Sleep Audio be ineffective?
A. At the lowest level! Your subconscious is very powerful and will hear the Audio at just a whisper level. You don’t have to be able to hear the Audio consciously very well which is often the mistake that is made. If you play the Audio too loudly it will disturb the conscious mind while you sleep and you won’t sleep as well.
Q. How do I explain to my partner why I am all of a sudden sleeping with an iPod/smartphone Audio at night?
A. Tell them you’re training your brain! I recommend keeping it simple. You can then explain it in more detail once you have started noticing changes.
You could also offer to play it on speakers because they (or anyone else that may be in your bedroom) will also benefit from the Audios! They are designed to promote healthy living that will benefit everyone!
Q. What is the Virtual Gastric Band? How does it work?
A. Most of us are familiar with a physical Gastric Band. It’s a band that’s placed around your stomach to make you stomach capacity much smaller than it was before.
Well it has been found that through brain training you can implement the same process virtually, without going through surgery! It sounds crazy but I’m telling you it works! If you dedicate yourself to your Brain Trainings, especially in Weeks 2 and 3, you will start feeling full much faster than ever before and will have an easier time controlling your portion sizes.
Q. I am enthusiastic about installing the VGB but it makes me a bit anxious now that I’ve gotten to the installation stage… Why?
A. This is completely normal! You’re feeling this way because you have been triggered. Your subconscious knows that change is about to happen and it is resisting that change.
Your subconscious wants to maintain your status quo because it knows that what you’ve been doing has worked to keep you alive up until now. BUT it doesn’t know that this change is going to be amazing.
The Virtual Gastric Band Preparation and Installation Audios are designed to shrink your stomach size down to the exact size that’s right for you! We are tuning into your body’s wisdom and giving it exactly what it needs to be healthy, happy and slim.
Remember that and keep going with your Audios and Power Breaks! You are about to experience some amazing things.
Q. I have purchased other brain training programs from you and there are certain Brain Trainings that work really well for me. They pick me up so much that I wake up every morning singing and energized… Should I stop listening to these Trainings and replace them with the Audios from Sleep Your Fat Away?
A. NO!!! Please don’t ever quit something that is working so well for you! I’m so happy you’ve found a Brain Training that makes such a wonderful difference in your life! Please just incorporate this Training into your Sleep Your Fat Away Audios as well.
The one thing that I would advise is to only work towards one goal at a time. So right now your goal is to lose weight and reconnect with your body’s natural wisdom. Just keep in mind that this is our primary goal while still listening to the Brain Training that has been working s wonderfully for you!
Q. I’m starting to remember my dreams a lot more now. Why is that?
A. This means that your subconscious is speaking with you and that healing is taking place, wonderful! I would encourage you to start recording your dreams as you remember them because this will signal to your subconscious that you’re listening to it and it’s messages! This will also encourage your subconscious to continue to speak with you and provide guidance and clarity about how it’s doing.
Q. How does this program impact the people around us?
A. Positively! If one family member starts working on themselves and becomes less stressed, more loving, more positive, etc. it has a ripple effects onto the people and the family members around them.
